Who We Are

In business services you're only as good as the people on your team. At Adjunct each Executive or Expert is carefully screened for demonstrated success. Each is selected for his or her ability to work effectively in client teams and with each other.

How We Work

Each Executive and Expert adheres to the high ethical standards outlined in our Code of Conduct. Each project is approached individually. Each client's needs are assessed and a team with key skills is assembled for approval. Working together, Adjunct and the client establish metrics and objectives. Work is completed using industry best practices and a standard project management process.

Careers

The typical Adjunct Executive is a person who enjoys working in a variety of different environments and cultures. They are seeking the greater personal flexibility of independent consulting or are looking at shorter assignments temporarily. They are leaders that seek to contribute at the top of their abilities.

Adjunct Executives are successful senior leaders and experts who are now available on a consulting basis. Participation in the Adjunct Executive consortium is highly limited. To join as an Adjunct Executive you must have first achieved a significant level of personal accomplishment in one or more professional field. This is usually signified by having achieved the title Director or Vice President or have held a "C" level position (CFO, etc.) The title Partner or its equivalent in a consulting firm is also acceptable. Individuals with industry wide credentials are preferred.

Adjunct Consultants are seasoned professionals with experience from some of the nation's leading firms and consultancies. Participation as an Adjunct Expert is limited to top performing professionals with key skills and abilities. If you have the desire to do more with the expertise you've developed over the years. Mr. McNeal is a senior software engineering consultant. His expertise was developed during his 20 year experience as an engineer and R&D manager at HP. Tom later served as a Director of Operations for Mission Critical Linux, a consulting company based in Lowell MA. Tom's practice focused on providing software and services for companies entering the Linux operating system environment.

While at HP and at Mission Critical Linux, Mr. McNeal has continued his involvement with the technical aspects of distributed file systems, including SUN's Network File System, and Microsoft's Common Internet File System. As a leading expert in file systems he has written several technical papers. Tom is part owner of the public Linux documents concentrating on NFS, including the NFS Performance Overview documents, and the NFS "Frequently Asked Question" documents.

Since entering the consulting business, Mr. McNeal has worked both at Quadrics, ltd. and at HP. While consulting with Quadrics, which produces cluster interconnect hardware and software, he helped with the MCR cluster at Lawrence Livermore Labs. This cluster, which has over 1000 computation nodes, recently ranked as the 4th fastest cluster in the world, based on benchmarks maintained by the "Top500" supercomputer consortium (http://www.top500.org/).
