Representative Accomplishments
During the three years at
i2, Aloke successfully led cross-functional teams to execute integrated release
of disparate enterprise software from multiple i2 acquisitions to support business
workflows for design, sourcing, procurement and contract management that resulted
in industry's first comprehensive SRM product suite.
As the Managing Consultant leading Collaborative Engineering and Supply-Chain
Management practice for HP Consulting, Aloke assisted HP's FORTUNE 500 clients
achieve improved performance through accelerated product development.
Aloke has technical and management experience in broad range of areas such as
semiconductor processing, device physics, application specific integrated circuit
(ASIC) design, and design tools. He has managed various development projects
in the areas of electronic systems such as PC servers, cable modems, TV set
top boxes, RISC/UNIX computers. For example, Aloke successfully led a large
cross-functional, fast track team for the development of first Intel Pentium
II-based HP servers in six months. Prior to that he managed ASIC and subsystem
development for consumer products such as cable modems and set top boxes where
he developed products in collaboration with suppliers such as Intel, Broadcom
and LSI Logic.
Aloke founded Hewlett-Packard Company's Corporate ASIC/ASSP Technology Center
to evaluate ASIC and PC chipset designs, and to provide consulting to worldwide
HP HW design teams. He helped develop a strong IC supply base for HP by acting
as a "teaching customer". Aloke implemented "Design For Procurement"
processes to improve technology & supplier selection throughout HP. Aloke
has also served as the Corporate Procurement Manager for all ASICs & PLDs
procured at HP ($300M worldwide). As the Chairman of HP's global ASIC Strategy
