Results

Responsible for strategy and development of CNET's web sites for the business/IT audience, representing over $4M in annual revenue. More than tripled traffic and revenue with successive product releases through worldwide syndication, marketing, user-testing, and close collaboration with our sales force. Managed a cross-country organization that included technology/IT, content development, catalog production, and business development teams.

As CNET's first Director of Community, responsible for increasing user content on CNET sites by ten-fold. Managed editorial and production teams responsible for message boards and user opinions.

Managed a department of IT Project Managers, each responsible for the development of systems requirements and project management of new product development, including Internet sites and technology infrastructure. Responsible for defining best practices in Internet software development; overall group management, business planning and global technology strategy.

Responsible for development of Internet web sites (http://www.cisco.com), CD-ROM products, and Cisco's first e-commerce store. Managed critical transition of Cisco's first web site from an R&D endeavor to an integrated sales/marketing/support and e-commerce site. Managed document management team, web masters, and e-commerce infrastructure development. Frequently presented Cisco's own use of e-commerce at customer briefings and conferences worldwide.
