John L. Gerrity
John Gerrity has over twenty years of diverse industry and successful management experience. His functional experience includes strategic marketing, sales management, manufacturing/distribution operations and financial analysis and planning. With over fifteen years of marketing experience covering all areas of marketing, he has expertise in business to business marketing, consumer brand marketing, sales management and customer relationship management. Additionally, he has a solid track record of launching products nationally and in developing marketing and sales strategies to grow businesses.
John has held management positions in the U.S.Army (Captain), at Hewlett-Packard, Dole Foods, Ocular Sciences and at Webprint.com. After holding senior brand management positions at Dole Foods, he served as Vice President of Marketing at Ocular Sciences, a medical device (contact lens) company, and contributed to its successful initial public offering. John's next role was as a consultant to the first U.S. branch office of Framfab, a leading European internet consulting services company headquartered in Sweden, and then he became the Vice President of Marketing at Webprint.com, an e-commerce application service provider for the quick printing industry.
Most recently, John has provided marketing and business strategy consulting services to high tech start-up companies: Inkchaser (offset print pricing software application), Sightech Vision Systems (QA expert vision systems), Landel Communications (email appliance), MyEnergy Watch (electricity monitoring appliance), Vergics (spatial learning software), Infinity I/O (storage area network training) and UCA Medical Devices (advanced electrosurgical devices). He is affiliated as an executive consultant with Adjunct, LLC, which provides general management consulting services. Also, he served as an advisor at The Enterprise Network/NASA business incubator, where he advised over twenty high tech companies on their investor presentations and business plans.
In his executive management roles, John has served on executive management teams, had P&L responsibility, managed businesses of over $100 million in revenue with marketing budgets in excess of $20 million, contributed to a successful IPO, managed cross functional teams on major company-wide initiatives, commercialized and launched new products nationally, developed international business development strategies and served on ERP/SCM/CRM steering committees.
John has a BBA with honors in Accounting and Finance from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA with concentrations in Marketing and Business Strategy from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.
